Why is this cheaper than an agency?
Because there is no agency. No account manager, no project manager, no office, and no
markup on any of them — you are paying one person for the hours the work actually takes.
I spent over ten years consulting in corporate America, so this is the same discipline
those firms sell, minus the firm. The trade-off is real and worth saying out loud: I build
a handful of sites at a time, so if you need forty pages and a team, I am the wrong call.
What if I don't like it?
You see it before it goes anywhere near your customers, and one round of changes is
included. If it is still not right after that, we talk about it like adults — I would
much rather fix it than have you living with something you are quietly embarrassed by.
How long does it really take?
Two weeks from the day I have your content, for Launch and Presence. The thing that slows a
build down is almost never the building — it is waiting on photos and text. I write the words
for you unless you would rather write them.
What do you need from me?
About an hour, total. Fifteen minutes on the phone at the start, a look at the draft, and one
round of changes. If you have photos, send them. If you do not, we will talk about that.
Do I own it, or am I renting?
You own it. The domain is registered in your name, the accounts are yours, and you hold the
passwords. If you stop working with me you take every file with you. That is not a favour,
it is how it should always work.
What if I already have a website?
Then the first question is whether you need a new one. Sometimes the honest answer is that
yours is fine and needs an afternoon of fixes, and I will tell you that.
Do you work with churches?
Yes, and it is a good part of the work. Giving, service times, a Connect link that actually
connects, and a site a volunteer can keep up to date after I hand it over.
What happens after it launches?
Nothing you have to do. The Care Plan is there if you want it looked after; if you do not,
the site is yours and it keeps working. There is no subscription you have to keep paying to
stay online.
